Today's post is a writing challenge, dreamt up by the fabulous Karen from Baking In A Tornado. This is how it works: participating bloggers picked 4 – 6 words or short phrases for someone else to craft into a post. All words must be used at least once and all the posts will be unique as each writer has received their own set of words. That’s the challenge, here’s a fun twist; no one who’s participating knows who got their words and in what direction the writer will take them. Until now.
At the end of this post you’ll find links to the other blogs featuring this challenge. Check them all out, see what words they got and how they used them.
The words I got were: Mother Nature is a .... ~ Polar Vortex ~ Vomit ~ Wondrous ~ Tropics ~ Germs
Thank you Evil Joy!

Come on over, pull up a lounge chair, and grab yourself a cute umbrella drink. I'm glad you could join me in the sunshine, with the warm breeze, the sea air, and the swaying of the palm trees. Why did you decide to head to the tropics? Me? That damn polar vortex forced me out of my east coast USA hometown with it's frigid temperatures. Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm a New England girl, I should be used to the cold. But there's cold and then there's cold. And in my heart I'm a sunshiney beach girl. There's nothing like kicking back in the warm sand, the wondrous sound of waves lapping the shore, and the sun beaming down on your face.
The weather back home? It was the final 16 inches of snow that did it for me. Snow, on top of ice, on top of snow. And the negative temperatures. I mean, come on, negative temperatures??! That crap is just not necessary. You lose feeling in your fingers and your face freezes from the frigid air. And red is not my color, I do not look good sporting a rosy nose. I don't know how winter is flu season; how can germs survive in that kind of frigid atmosphere? As if the bitter cold isn't enough, let's add in a hacking cough, snotty nose, and vomit.
So, here I am, relaxing in the sun, enjoying the warmth and calm. Wait, what's that you said about the tropics? Cyclones? Hurricanes? ................
Mother Nature is a...... *&#*$!!
