Fly on the Wall -- June edition!

Welcome to a Fly on the Wall group post. Today 15 bloggers are inviting you to catch a glimpse of what you’d see if you were a fly on the wall in our homes. Come on in and buzz around my house, and see a little of the nonsense that comes out of my kids' mouths :)

Me: "Check out this song"
Mr. 15: "Did you and Adam and Eve used to jam out to this song?"
Miss 14 (hands me a piece of ice):  "Ice for that burn??"

**********

Mr. 15:  "Where the heck is the nether-lands? Is that near the Promised Land?"

**********

Miss 14:  "Mom, what do you want for Christmas?"
Me: "A whole day free of your sass."
Miss 14:  "I meant a present, not a miracle."

**********

Mr. 15 (doing homework): "Mom, have you read 'Lord of the Flies'?"
Me:  "No."
Mr. 15:  "It's just like one of the SpongeBob episodes."
Me:  .........
Mr. 15:  "You know the one where SpongeBob and Squidward are in a tree house?"
Me:  "No..."
Mr. 15:  "And they get flung out into the woods?"
Me:  "...No..."
Mr. 15:  "And they have a magic conch shell?"
Me:  "I'm gonna hafta read this book."

**********

Mr. 2 is crying.
Mr. 12:  "You don't need to be sad, just address the issue."

  3. I honestly don't know how you do it, with kids all different ages and at all different stages. As far as the teenagers go, you and I need to have a pity party. Cocktails NOT optional!

  9. You've got yourself some smarties ;-)
The Netherlands as in the team that showed Spain who's boss in soccer? If they keep it up they'll end up winning the world cup, that's even better than being the Promised Land, no blaspheme intended.
